Scale
For the Chicken Marinade:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced thin)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
For the Garlic Cheese Sauce:
- ½ cup Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra creaminess)
For Assembling the Wraps:
- 4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato (thinly sliced)
- ½ red onion (thinly sliced)
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika. Add chicken slices, mix well, and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor).
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning until golden brown and fully cooked. Set aside.
- Prepare the Garlic Cheese Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt (or mayo), minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and shredded cheddar cheese (optional). Mix until creamy and smooth. Chill until ready to use.
- Assemble the Wraps: Warm tortillas in a pan or microwave. Spread garlic cheese sauce on each tortilla, add cooked chicken slices, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, and extra cheese.
- Wrap It Up: Roll the tortillas tightly, folding in the sides first. Slice in half if desired.
- Optional: Grill the wraps in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes per side for a crispy finish
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and extra garlic sauce on the side!
Notes
- Swap flour tortillas for lettuce leaves for a low-carb version.
- Add sliced avocado for creaminess or jalapeños for heat.
- The garlic cheese sauce can be made dairy-free by using a cashew or tahini base.
- Store leftover wraps (unassembled) in airtight containers for up to 3 days.
